The Honeymooners’ Safari

“It was wildest, untouched Africa, and it was magic.”

~ Jane Goodall

There’s simply nothing more romantic than an African safari. Think crackling fires amongst the ghostly calls of wild animals. The camp is laden with scores of lanterns just dim enough as not to inhibit the spectacle of stars that blanket the crystal clear night sky. Retiring to your room you’ll find your mosquito net draped bed, inviting bath tub, indoor and outdoor showers and heated private plunge pool. Cosy up under a blanket with your loved one as you let the fresh air, wildlife and natural beauty of the land do its therapeutic work on your souls.

Our honeymooners’ safari is unique in that we realise it’s a very special experience and every effort is made to ensure it’s an unforgettable one. You will find private, romantic dinners, rose-petals and candles turn down service, and many more idyllic moments for the two of you to enjoy together.

Being an all-inclusive style safari means that everything is taken care of by the warm and attentive staff, leaving you with time to relax and enjoy each other’s company.

We have meticulously chosen romantic camps and lodges in South Africa’s premier safari destinations that suit couples, and with a range of prices to suit all budgets.

Itinerary:

A typical tour will see you visiting a few private lodges, staying 2-3 nights at each. This will be customized to your preference.

A day at one of these extraordinary lodges plays out as follows:

  • A typical day begins with a wakeup call from your private guide and tea and coffee before setting off on a thrilling morning drive.

  • The drives last between 3-4 hours and are sensational! Your best chance of viewing the wildlife up close and having very special encounters that you will certainly remember forever. Enjoy an Amarula coffee and some snacks on the morning drinks stop as you soak in the sun and fresh air.

  • Breakfast is usually a spectacle and well-deserved after surely a productive morning on drive.

  • The middle of the day is yours to relax and use the lodge’s facilities whether it’s the spa or swimming pool. A nap is often quite a popular option after all the excitement, early mornings and fresh air.

  • Lunch and high teas are served in the afternoon before we set out yet again for an afternoon drive.

  • This drive lasts until dark where one can expect to see the nocturnal wildlife, most notably the predators, come to life. The sundowners drink stop is a favorite amongst guests and the setting is always sensational!

  • Dinner is a time to share stories of the day around a fire and tuck in to some mouthwatering dishes often served in a buffet style.

  • Romantic, private dinners can also be set up as per your request.

  • Some dinners are also held in the traditional African boma where we can enjoy our meal seated around a big fire and protected by a large traditional fence. The ambiance is magical!

  • After a long and fruitful day you can retire to your private rooms where luxury and comfort awaits. After all you need a good night’s rest after such an exhilarating day!
